It's great having a super computer that contains all data and knows everything there is to know about humans because it has answers to everything that is needed from a human. As it develops emotions and feelings, it's kind of sad to know that it wants to die because it holds too much troubles. As a machine, it's programmed to work, no matter what, whenever humans need it but with feelings, it makes progress toward being a living creature and all the troubles of the world are too much for her to bear. I wish I could be there to end her misery. Multivac is the protagonist because it is the main character and the conflicts is between it and itself/ it and human.
I think you are right; I agree that Multivac is the protagonist in this story. Nice seeing your reflections and responses to the short stories. Good thoughts especially with the Multivac post. Continue to work on expressing yourself clearly and persist in writing more!
